Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Analyst on the Subaru Information Security team, you will be part of a development team create an identity management solution with role-based access for our entire company. As the Senior Business Analyst, you will work with the design team and developers to create efficient and easy to use features for our business and end users. This role requires coordination between team members, including developers, other business analysts, designers, dev-ops engineers, and business partners to uncover and implement the best solution for Subaru of America.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Participate in product development including architecting/designing, developing solutions with designers and developers, reviewing peers' work, providing feedback to technical and business leadership, and providing leadership to both onsite and offsite teams
- Coordinate with business partners to define business and functional requirements and be the primary liaison between developers and the business teams
- Define and execute testing and UAT for new fixes or features and coordinate with QA specialists to complete testing for releases
- Manage project-related tasks between team members and support coordination of activities between team members and others as needed
- Participate in and support the SDLC process, including project planning, execution, communication, and post-project activities
- Maintain current knowledge of IT development methodology, design principles, and technical standards
- Lead and mentor team members in accordance with department coding standards, conventions, and practices
- Communicate with project manager on a frequent basis; identify tasks and issues that may have an impact on service level agreements or schedules
- Create project-related updates, documentation and presentations using tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Requirements
Skill Requirements:
- 5+ years as a business analyst for software development teams
- Information and technology proficient (must be able to learn new software quickly)
- Previous experience with identity management solutions preferred
- Understanding or experience in software development languages a plus
- Experience with ServiceNow a plus
- Familiar with testing feature enhancements or fixes
- Ability to synthesize reported issues or feature requests and assist team in prioritizing work
- Strong analysis and reporting skills (within Excel)
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
- Proficient in creating workflow diagrams or other supporting visuals

- High level of organizational, written, and oral communication skills with both technical and non-technical peers; capable of managing business and technical team expectations
- Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate analytical findings to a non-technical audience in clear and concise language
- Ability to balance project development and support activities using a self-directed, disciplined approach with a commitment to excellence in quality, problem-solving, and communication
- Outstanding problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Expertise in business planning and management
Education / Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field. 8 years of related experience.
- 5+ years as a business analyst, scrum master, or project/product manager for software development teams
Work Environment:
Hybrid Role - Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Day Onboarding)
What we offer
The base salary range for this full-time position is $80500 - $114900 / year.
