Business Analyst, Reporting - Job Role & Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and objectives. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and data requirements.
  • Report Development: Design and create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using reporting tools and software. Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and user-friendly.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Data Collection: Gather, clean, and maintain data from various sources to ensure data integrity. Develop processes for data extraction and transformation.
  • Automation: Implement and maintain automated reporting processes to ensure efficient and timely delivery of reports.
  • Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive documentation for reporting processes, including report specifications, data sources, and methodologies.
  • Quality Assurance: Validate the accuracy and consistency of reports and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

  • Report Enhancement: Continuously improve and enhance reporting systems, dashboards, and data visualization techniques to meet evolving business needs.

Business Analyst, Reporting - Job requirements

Here’s what we require:

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Reporting Business Analyst or similar role.
  • 3+ year of data analysis and data visualization skills.
  • 3+ years proficiency in reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI, Excel).
  • 3+ years of SQL experience for data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with data collection, cleaning, and transformation processes.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

Here’s what we prefer:

  • Restaurant or Retail industry experience
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and Google
  • Tableau Certification
  • PMP Certification
