Job Description & Responsibilities
This hybrid position can be based out of either Bear, DE or Philadelphia, PA.
The primary focus of the Sr/Lead Fleet Specialist is to support Amtrak to improve automotive fleet management by leveraging data and trends and working with multiple systems and stakeholders to enable data driven fleet decisions. This role’s work activities include extracting, cleansing, and validating data to help drive decisions for better fleet management. Data could include but is not limited to vehicle utilization, dashcam behavior performance trends, and fuel card usage, vehicle expense and forecasting. In addition, the role will create user dashboards and develop reports ,KPIs and metrics derived from multiple data systems, assist in departmental initiatives and projects including IT enhancements. This role would help define the requirements for systems such as defining and pulling data into a new data warehouse for easier reporting. Working with departmental leadership and as required the Automotive Business Specialist will facilitate and provide Project Management support. scope of responsibility includes all vehicles, system-wide at Amtrak.
Essential Functions
- Utilizes proficiency in the Amtrak/ Supplier Automotive reporting systems; to create user dashboards and reporting at all levels of the organization.
- Create/provide reports to improve fleet safety and financial improvements for Amtrak fleet management.
- Present/report out data analytics, highlighting Amtrak fleet KPIs and safety behavior trends; adjust accordingly to with ability to aid in continued improvements toward corporate objectives.
- Provide day-to-day support to end users (drivers/coaches) with required program and Automotive policy requirements.
- Aid in management of Amtrak fleet using data driven analysis.
- Creating working user interface dashboards from raw data and spreadsheets.
- Assists in Project Management duties as required and delivers results.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Sciences or related field. Or, a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience creating Tableau/ Power Bi user dashboards for tracking and improving organizational KPIs
- Mining data and identifying trends and providing information back especially in visually appealing and easy to understand ways
- Expertise in using various analytical tools such as Tableau, MS SharePoint, MS Access, MS Excel,
- Effectively works under a matrix management structure.
- Must be able to work and communicate effectively in writing and verbally with all levels of the company and with suppliers
- Proficiency in data analysis,
- Experience analyzing and mining business data to identify patterns and correlations among the various data points,
- Ability to create visual graphs to illustrate data trends
- Strong written and verbal communication including presentation skills
- Resourceful to seek out support as needed from other functional areas
- Mapping and tracing data from system to system in order to solve a given business or system problem
- Self-starter with good problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks and adapt as department’s needs change.
- Must be detailed oriented and disciplined to ensure timely results and responses from end users
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of Project Management responsibilities and duties
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 3-9 years of relevant experience
- Microsoft Applications certification
- Application/process automation experience
- Working knowledge of SAP Ariba is also preferred
- Expertise in using various analytical tools such as Tableau, MS SharePoint, MS Access, MS Excel, , and others
- Design and create data reports and reporting tools to help business executives in their decision making,
- Ability to perform statistical analysis of business data and ability to create visual graphs to more effectively illustrate trends for end users.
- Ability to write Macros in Excel or related applications to create dashboards and reports to demonstrate something through graphical analysis.
- Salesforce application/program experience

What we offer
The salary/hourly range is $70,800 - $91,692 for a Sr Fleet Specialist and $84,900 - $110,052 for a Lead Fleet/Vehicle Specialist. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
