Senior Business Analyst, Manufacturing - Job Role & Responsibilities

Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a Sr. Manufacturing Business Analyst to join its world class team. This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies.

In this cross functional role, you should be able to work independently with minimal supervision but seek assistance when necessary. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills and the ability to remain up-to-date and quickly grasp new technologies. You will need to engage with the operations team members and understand current scalability issues and provide sustainment support to enable efficient streamlined 24x7 manufacturing and FIT operations. Be an IT liaison to proactively propose software based technical solutions to the issues faced by operations teams, based on already developed or in-development IT Systems.

Location: This position will be based in San Jose, CA or Fremont, CA

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions by interacting with the process/quality/production/manufacturing teams
  • Pay close attention to new developments pertaining to changes in manufacturing process and new product introduction and report it to the software engineering team
  • Provide technical support to configure, troubleshoot and fix issues with operations software such as MES
  • Provide technical support for FIT related operations.
  • Work with process/quality/manufacturing engineers to understand issues on the manufacturing line and deploy software-based solutions
  • Generate detailed workflows detailing operations activities, that will be used to develop software solutions to increase reliability, scalability, and profitability
  • Deploy and support specialized software developed by IT to the manufacturing plant
  • As a sustainment engineer you will need to convert and replace legacy excel based workflows and manual data collection by developing web applications and automation scripts
Senior Business Analyst, Manufacturing - Job requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • High level understanding of different components of the Solid Oxide Fuel Cell System manufacturing
  • Ability to work in a fast phased environment to implement solutions to support manufacturing operations
  • Query data from relational database and visualize operational data using web-based dashboards
  • Interface with MySQL/MSSQL from Web Applications
  • Basic database administrations skills, create stored procedures, create queries
  • Call REST API from web applications
  • Develop REST API to support backend logic
  • Engineering in computer science or related fields with 10+ years of experience related to the above mentioned roles and skills
