Job Description & Responsibilities
The Sr. Business Analyst is a critical member of the NBCUniversal Operations & Technology (O&T) Audit and Policy Governance Team. This person is responsible for providing complex analysis, actionable metrics, and optimized processes to support transformation for key Audit and Policy Governance capabilities. This position requires someone with exceptional technical skills, business acumen, and a passion for using data to explain and solve problems. The ideal candidate will have a natural analytical way of thinking and translating large data sets into relevant insights.
This position reports to the VP, O&T Audit and Policy Governance and will work in close collaboration with technical teams across NBCUniversal and Global Audit. Must love operating in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Provide thought leadership on using data to scope and solve problems
- Interpret raw data and analyze results to deliver comprehensive, meaningful analysis; look beyond the individual results to find overarching themes
- Create visualizations and actionable metrics to be used by operational teams as well as executive leadership
- Navigate the environment to identify highest fidelity data points for analysis; document where data points live and any known limitations/constraints of the data
- Develop and optimize data gathering processes for audit and policy governance to ensure clear documentation and reduce complexity where possible; empathize, anticipate and solve for end user pain points
- Partner and build effective, highly collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across multiple disciplines
- Where needed, build data repositories in accordance with all policy, Cyber Security, and Audit requirements
- Use PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, Snowflake, statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.), ServiceNow, Splunk, and other analytics and visualization tools

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required; major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3+ years of business analytics experience
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, be proactive, highly organized, a stickler for the details
- Embody integrity, represent and inspire the highest ethical standards
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively, think independently and problem solve to ensure all projects are completed with excellence
- Strong sense of commitment, urgency, and sound business sense
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Advanced skills in statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate large data set and draw insights
- Careful listener with the confidence to contribute to crisp and tough decisions about difficult issues; natural propensity to make others feel like their view points and perspectives are adequately considered
- Juggle multiple high intensity projects at the same time and react with urgency when necessary
- Facilitate meetings to review progress, deliverables, and drive decisions
- Escalate issues, manage expectations, and propose creative solutions
- Personally and professionally self-aware

Salary range: $95,000 - $115,000
