Job Description & Responsibilities
This role is part of the GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) technical product team. The Senior Business Analyst will serve as functional business analyst for development and support projects on the Fusion Risk Manage platform. This role will be working with internal clients and technology teams to improve business processes and deliver new capabilities. This position will be responsible for interacting with business stakeholders and the technical team to gather, analyze, validate, and document requirements for enhancements and integrations in Fusion Risk Management application suite.
A successful Senior Business Analyst must be both a leader who can work with vendor resources, stakeholders, and work with agile teams. On any day, the candidate could be doing any or all of the following:
- Serve as the business analyst for development projects on the Fusion Risk Management platform.
- Elicit business and functional requirements from primary stakeholders as well as document and analyze current and future state business process flows.
- Partner with product owners to craft user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria in support of agile delivery of technology solutions
- Develop data flow diagrams for new and/or improved workflows, integrations, and reporting to support the technical design and build processes.
- Collaborate with project managers, technical leads and quality assurance leads to ensure effective cross-project communication and issue management.
- Lead user acceptance testing by gathering test scenarios, developing scripts, triaging defects, and capturing sign-off from stakeholders and project leads.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, technical team and QA team members on technology projects throughout the duration of an implementation by reviewing and providing feedback on project artifacts, helping coordinate meetings with stakeholders and testing new functionality.
- Provide demonstrations of and documentation for new features in the system/software.
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enable operational efficiency.
- Document requirements in user stories and UI mockups.
- Work with vendors, developers, SCRUM Master and Product/Process Owners to reach consensus on appropriate solutions
- Ensure appropriate designs are signed off and prioritized through the SCRUM process
- Ensure all requirements and designs are adequately documented through collaboration with development teams and process owners
- Assist QA in executing and documenting test scenarios and test cases.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) in a related field required.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
- Business systems analysis experience required.
- Experience with Fusion Risk Management or other GRC products required.
- Prior experience with Salesforce a plus
- Prior experience or knowledge of Operational Resiliency including Business Impact Assessment, Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery required.
- Knowledge of Enterprise and Operational Risk Management, Internal audit, Compliance or other GRC domains a plus
- Experience with JIRA or other issue and project tracking software applications.
- Strong quantitative analysis skills and the ability to translate analysis into actionable tasks.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage tight deadlines.
- Must possess strong initiative and a get-it-done attitude.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to coordinate and assist teams in resolving complex analytical and technical issues.
- Excellent problem solver and independent thinker with the ability to create innovative solutions.
- Client focused, proactive and results oriented with ability to support clients across multiple locations.
- Highly capable at critical analysis of current processes and identification of gaps vs. best practices.
- Capable of applying pragmatism in end-user requests and discussing advantages and disadvantages of certain approaches to articulate future state.
- Skilled in facilitating workshops, gathering user requirements, and confirming stakeholder sign-off.
- Capable of managing stakeholder expectations effectively in terms of adherence to standards and delivery dates.
- Skilled in standard analysis and design techniques such as workflow modeling, use case design, entity relationship diagrams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills – builds trust and relationships with key users and user groups.
- Excellent planning skills.
- Experience in an Agile working environment.
- SCRUM certification preferred.
What we offer
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $107,700.00 to $156,150.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
