Job Description & Responsibilities

As the Senior Business Analyst on the technical product team, you will be responsible for the execution of technical deliverables that drive one of our most critical platforms – AMP, the eCommerce engine for Ikon.
This is a challenging and fast-paced position where responsibilities shift day-to-day, and often hour-by-hour. Don’t worry – you’ll get tons of guidance and plenty of support from talented, super-smart colleagues from all over Alterra along the way.

General Responsibilities & Job Duties
- Lead the execution of technical development across multiple projects concurrently
- Author user stories with clear and detailed functional/non-functional specifications with solid acceptance criteria
- Keep the product backlog full of actionable user stories and development deliverables
- Meet with stakeholders to “dig in” and define detailed business requirements
- Manage operational activities, such as guest notifications and feature launch plans
- Lead the AMP team through all the Agile SCRUM ceremonies
- Collaborate with your technical product manager to align on the strategic IT roadmap
- Build and maintain project/initiative documentation
Requirements
Required:
- 5+ years’ experience leading engineering teams through the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong experience with deconstructing complex business problems into detailed requirements and actionable user stories
- Ability to adapt easily to a variety of projects ranging from co-contributor to project lead
- Confidence working with engineering and QA teams to design and build enterprise-class platforms
- Previous experience managing multiple initiatives that span all lines of business and integrations with other IT platforms
- Working knowledge of API integration technologies
- Demonstrated experience acting as a mentor to team members and project leaders to educate and assist them with implementing Agile best practices
- Practical experience with Agile SCRUM methodology
- Motivated self-starter that can lead projects independently, with minimal direction
- Experience establishing practices, policies, and partnerships to promote efficiency capabilities for the organization
- Understanding of interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred:
- Experience facilitating Agile SCRUM ceremonies (daily stand-ups, backlog grooming/refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives)
- An understanding of eCommerce applications
- Familiarity with the Ski Industry / Resort operations
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Figma
