Senior Business Analyst, Escrow Services - Job Role & Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for leading process improvement initiatives across business units and in conjunction with suppliers to deliver efficiencies and benefits to internal and external customers. You will assess the impact of business process changes within people, systems, operations and management, and advocate new business capabilities to ensure performance improvement. One of your key responsibilities is to utilize workflow and process mapping to understand the organization and its operations. You will create and update project work plans, completing project activities and communicating progress/outstanding issues and risks, and coordinate and serve as a Subject Matter expert. Our Business Analysts identify improvement opportunities and manage improvement requests from the business and present findings and recommendations to sponsors and key stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

  • Cultivates an understanding of a wide variety of data sources and their validation techniques, metrics, and standard definitions. Develops techniques to join data elements and build robust data sets. Complete projects requiring data mining, organizational procedures, workflow, and information requirements.
  • Identifies incomplete and/or inaccurate data and work with partners to determine root causes. Assists in the development and maintenance of periodic reporting to help drive data-based decision making and process efficiencies through analytics.
  • Retrieves, prepares, models, and analyzes enterprise-wide data using tools such as, but not limited to, SQL Server Management Studio, Power BI, and Excel. Demonstrates inquisitiveness around data findings beyond what is requested and communicate those curiosities to data owners and related parties.
  • Analyzes requirements for "ad-hoc" reporting requests, including timeframes, priorities, data sources and output formats and delivery. Processes and tracks the full lifecycle of select invoices submitted through the accounts payable system.

What You Will Need To Have

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years professional experience
  • Knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Knowledge and experience working with formal Business Improvement, Project Management or Business methodology accreditation (e.g., DMAIC, Lean/Six Sigma, Kaizen) is a plus.

Salary hiring range is generally $90,000 – $120,000. Salary amount reflects New York, as salary is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
