Job Description & Responsibilities
This position functions as an integral member of the Business Solutions Group and is responsible for analyzing, recommending, and implementing efficient business solutions to meet the changing demands of Russell Investments. This role will manage activities around requirements gathering, analysis and documentation, as well as the facilitation of business acceptance of new product, technology, or process improvement releases. Role interacts with architecture efforts with particular focus around data warehouse, enterprise application integration, business intelligence, master data management, metadata management, and analytic technologies in support of strategic directions
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
- Work as part of project teams implementing business solutions across Investment Division and Shared Services business units
- Create comprehensive business requirements packages used in the development of new processes or technology solutions
- Work closely with internal client teams to ensure comprehensive understanding and proper implementation of requirements
- Estimate, plan, manage and execute projects and/or workstreams of broader programs
- Lead efforts to document and effectively transition new processes to BAU support
- Defines and maintains best practice guidelines and standards for data, metadata, data modelling, and management. Provides best practice leadership to database administrators and application developers. Documents technology roadmaps and the transition from the current architectural framework to target architecture of the future.
- Create and maintain documented processes and procedures associated with data and systems. Ensure proper integration of new process into the existing workflow
- Demonstrates a strong level of product knowledge; navigates and executes all approved workflows across all business units; designs and implements changes based on the functional needs of the businesses.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:
- 3-5 years Business Analyst experience
- Project management or team leadership experience
- Strong experience in eliciting, documenting and communicating product/solution requirements, and liaising between business and implementation teams
- Experience with using SQL Server and Excel to query and analyze data
- Experience in the banking or asset management industry preferred, especially data analysis in these contexts
- Strong ability to multi-task and exceptional organizational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong experience in working with applications to improve business outcomes
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with associates to discover solutions for complex problems
- An in depth understanding of the Bloomberg AIM OMS and the trade order process flows, Compliance functionality and mutual fund trading setup managed within the system is highly beneficial
What we offer
Salary Range:
$96,000 USD - $106,000 USD
Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. At Russell Investments, salary is just one part of our compensation package.
