Job Description & Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for the maintenance of the definitions, descriptions, hierarchies, and quality of critical customer level data elements for the Small Business segment.
As part of the Enterprise Data & Analytics Services team, this position supports the manipulation, preparation, and validation of data for the Small Business segment as well as analytical use cases. The associate will utilize standard systems, tools and reports along with basic querying and data mining techniques to ensure data quality in both operational systems, Master Data Management (MDM), Salesforce CRM and analytical data marts.
The role provides Subject Matter Expertise as it relates to data and systems supporting the line of business. Stewards act as a central custodian of MDM and related systems data and ensure data is accurate and integrated between all relevant systems. This role is critical in Key’s pursuit of data-driven business strategies, business decisions and analytics. The successful candidate is inquisitive and detail-oriented with a passion for assessing and improving data and information quality.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure client data attributes conform to established requirements
- Monitor data changes and maintain client records
- Define data critical attributes and partner with the Line of Business to develop data standards, procedures, and policies for master data
- Resolve and escalate data quality issues to correct problems at the source where possible
- Implement and lead data cleansing activities
- Participate in regularly scheduled and ad hoc Data Steward meetings, forums, work groups, and educational sessions
- Participate in training and meetings to facilitate the sharing of data across functional areas and understanding of stewardship best practices
- Ability to build strategies on data initiatives
- Responsible for the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data across the organization
- Work with the business stakeholders and technology teams to understand business impact, user requirements and feasibility of data management solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and leverage data-driven opportunities for business process optimization
- Engage with teams across various functions and regions to address data related issues and support their data needs
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of data analysis experience
Knowledge of:Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, etc.) and PowerPoint
Data visualization
Data mining techniques
Project management skills
Exposure to data integration
Intermediate SQL skills
Preferred Qualifications
- System knowledge in Salesforce, Master Data Management, Mainframe
- Familiar with and capacity for analytical programming

- Communication: Developing written and verbal skills; beginning to develop ability to organize information in clear, consistent format; Capacity to develop ability to articulate a clear, well thought-out message and formal delivery; Minimal skills in creating PowerPoint presentations

What we offer
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $70,000 to $95,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.

Key has implemented a role-based Mobile by Design approach to our employee workspaces, dedicating space to those whose roles require specific workspaces, while providing flexible options for roles which are less dependent on assigned workspaces and can be performed effectively in a mobile environment. As a result, this role may be Mobile or Home-based, which means you may work primarily either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties.
