Senior Business Analyst, Commercial Strategy - Job Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Global Commercial Strategy and Insights team.This team is responsible for setting up our commercial organization for success, delivering ongoing andproject-based commercial insights and for leading important strategic programs.

Our team sits at a fascinating vantage point to drive transformation and modernization of a Fortune 1000sales organization. This team is responsible for structuring analysis and synthesizing data-driven insightsto develop and prioritize our commercial strategy. This is a global role and is responsible for serving allproducts in the organization. Our team works cross-functionally with teams across the organization, suchas business units, sales, marketing, product management, and sales enablement, to identify and answerhigh priority business questions. We also help identify and investigate trends in key business metrics, andcommunicate findings out to the rest of the organization.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with exposure to some of the most strategic and critical projects inthe company.

Key Responsibilities…

  • Leading a high-impact sales program to drive commercial growth and promote more proactive,data-driven sales behavior;
  • Aligning cross-functional stakeholders to a common vision and strategy, and ensuring strategy isproperly implemented;
  • Providing executive leadership with understanding of program needs and risks, gaining buy-in toensure program success;
  • Partnering with teams across the organization to structure analysis around high priority businessquestions and synthesize findings to inform strategic decisions;
  • Monitoring business trends and commercial performance;
  • Ideating on solutions to key business problems based on data-driven insights and a broad baseon enterprise knowledge;
  • Direct senior leadership interface responsibilities with limited oversight needed from the teamlead;
  • An ability to independently, present and listen to feedback and manage the underlying reportingassets;
  • Drive project-based efforts, by managing stakeholders, understanding the expectations,designing outputs and delivering the final work-product;
  • Own regular commercial global reporting, including weekly refreshes, enhancements and datamanagement;
  • Understand external and internal opportunities and trends to develop business plans and drivetransformation for our commercial teams; and,
  • Demonstrate proficiency in analytical skills and knowledge and expertise of analytical andvisualization tools such as Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, Data Studio, Python etc.

Your Qualifications…

  • Minimum 2 years experience, with increasing responsibility for data analysis and presentation;
  • Proficient with driving strategic programs to manage stakeholders, lead executive meetings,establish a work plan and agenda which is linked to a clear approach for problem solving;
  • Strong communicator, both through written content development and in-person communications;
  • High level of expertise with office productivity tools, e.g., Powerpoint, Excel;
  • Strong analytical/problem solving experience to deal with complex business problems. Thisincludes risk definition, establishing quality control and implementation of end-to-end solutions;
  • Expertise with data analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx and Data Studio; and,
  • Expertise with commercial reporting and data from CRM systems such as Salesforce.com.
