Senior Business Analyst, Clinical - Job Role & Responsibilities

Do you excel at data analysis? In this role you'll play a key role leading Clinical Patient Care, Quality and Population Health analysis, governance and optimization for all clinical departments, to maximize value-based care models, integrate population health management process, and accountabilities. Presents data analysis findings in a clear and concise manner and offer recommendations based on key insights discovered.

The successful candidate will have experience with clinical patient care and healthcare operations. This position is hybrid on-site / remote. Will need to be on site in the office approximately half time.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements for Radar Dashboards, Reporting Workbench Reports, Slicer Dicer Data Models/Sessions and custom SQL metrics to design insightful and actionable metrics and key performance indicators that focus on strategic performance, improvement and feedback.
  • Make recommendations to clinic leadership and teams on analytical approach to strategic projects; what questions to ask, what data to review and how to best analyze and report data to make decisions.
  • Design, develop and deploy data models, systems and reports to support strategic initiatives.
  • Proactively provide guidance to leadership regarding best direction for future data applications and analysis and to ensure integrity of data applications.
  • Provide continuous user education of Business Intelligence applications, data literacy, data governance, and help ensure access to data with the goal of reduced reliance, over time, on technical specialists to obtain data.

  • Proven ability to analyze business reporting requirements and systems functionality to develop and support reporting systems.
  • Advanced skills and efficiency in Excel MS Office Suite software required.
  • Ability to create and perform presentations to all levels of the organization with clarity.
  • Proven ability to analyze business reporting requirements and systems functionality to develop and support reporting systems.
  • Proven ability to lead, coordinate and facilitate effective meetings.
  • Ability to perform assigned responsibilities to successful conclusion with limited direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and operate effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to shift work load as needed to accommodate organizational priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, listening as well as speaking
  • Proven ability in written and verbal communications with the ability to effectively articulate a point.
  • Ability to maintain a positive disposition and interact with individuals as well as groups.
  • Ability to maintain data and information confidentiality.

Education And Experience

  • Certifications required with a minimum of five years' experience in the following Epic applications: Healthy Planet, Clinical Data model, (Surgical Procedures Data Model, Beaker, and Cupid), EpicCare Ambulatory Analytics, Radar Dashboards, and Reporting Workbench.
  • Minimum five years' data analysis experience with respect to identifying and defining source data using SQL or data profiling tools. SQL queries experience preferred.
  • Healthcare education preferred along with demonstrated database reporting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Business Process Analysis, Information Technology Data Management or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with clinical patient care and healthcare operations required.

Pay Range

$72,638.00 - $108,956.00

We offer a competitive Total Rewards Program. Eligibility for benefits is dependent on factors such as position type and FTE. Benefit-eligible employees qualify for benefits beginning on the first of the month following one month of employment. Vancouver Clinic offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, long term disability, health savings account, flexible spending account, employee assistance program, and multiple supplemental benefits (voluntary life, critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, identity theft protection, legal services, etc.). We also offer a 401k retirement plan, with employer contributions after your first year of employment. Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked. Employees will also enjoy up to six paid holidays per year, depending on schedule.
