Job Description & Responsibilities
The Global Atlantic Project Management Office is looking for a Business Analyst to lead cross functional analyses and activities which inform both strategic change and operational processes throughout the company. The right person for this role has excellent analytical abilities, has a demonstrated ability to apply analytics to solve business problems and identify opportunities, and has a strong understanding of business strategy, operations and KPI development.
Responsibilities
- Proactively drive change in the company’s business processes that show tangible improvements in the company’s performance
- Assist in delivering on behalf of Global Atlantic project portfolio that aligns with the company's strategy and delivers on key business objectives
- Work closely with portfolio managers and business subject matter experts (SMEs) in driving strategic planning activities during planning and budgeting cycles
- Work closely with product owners, project managers, stakeholders, and development teams to define and document project requirements, scope, systems functions, processes, challenges and opportunities to successfully implement solutions for complex projects
- Conduct research, analysis, and other exploration activities
- Lead business solutioning and requirements elicitation
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of project artifacts
- Assist in creating, refining and documenting user stories and acceptance criteria
- Assist with estimating the size and complexity of work and user stories
- Log risks, issues, dependencies and decisions against user stories or requirements
- Document ongoing changes to scope, priority and requirements
- Providing post-implementation support to measure and ensure project benefits were realized
- Report on critical project KPIs
- Facilitating business requirement walkthrough meetings and partnering with the business on functional specification reviews
- Independently manage projects of light complexity from initiation to implementation
- Continuously contribute to improving the team’s processes
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Eight (8+) years of progressively responsible business analysis experience in the insurance (preferable Retirement) or financial services industry
- Excellent communication, elicitation and influencing skills with experience on complex projects
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to identify impacts and synthesize data from multiple sources
- Demonstrated self-starter and effective individual contributor
- Strong analytical, organization and interpersonal skills
- Experience working within various delivery methodologies.
- Agile experience preferred. Scaled Agile experience is a plus.
- Ability to excel and lead in a fast-paced environment while taking on diverse responsibilities
- Ability to understand, document and effectively communicate up and down stream system and process impacts
- Strong experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Visio a plus
- Must have an entrepreneurial attitude and can work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
- Experience working with external vendors and outsourced business models is a plus

Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives. The base salary range for this role is $61,850 to $117,810.
