Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring that our insurance products and systems meet our business requirements and customer needs. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, requirements building, user acceptance testing, designing and executing test cases for system enhancements, updates and defects for internal and external facing systems. Maintain a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, values and upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.
The salary range for this role is $100,000- $110,000/year. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Jersey City. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics. This range may be modified in the future.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute and maintain detailed test plans and test cases based on defined requirements
- Perform user acceptance testing for all system enhancements and defects
- Identify and report system defects and ensure all systems meet our business requirements
- Translate identified defects into actionable items and collaborate with IT analysts, developers, product managers to resolve noted defects
- Provide updates and reports on UAT progress, issues, and results to UAT manager
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and develop detailed business requirements that support organizational goals
- Ability to perform Gap analysis of current and future state and provide recommendations
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of AmTrust’s internal and external facing systems
- Work closely with UAT Manager to define and understand all testing objectives
- Build relationships with IT and other departments within the organization
- Perform other functionally related duties as assigned
- Train new staff as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
- 3 years of Commercial Multi-Line Insurance experience
- Ability to understand and interpret system requirements
- Property and Casualty Underwriting and rating experience is preferred
- Proficient in writing SQL queries
- Strong knowledge of XML
- Experience in Agile & Waterfall methodologies
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Team focused with the ability to effectively multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Visio, SharePoint, Project, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
