Job Description & Responsibilities
The Global E-Trading Business Analyst will report into the Global Rates E-Trading Business Manager. Given the increasing industry and regulatory focus around control related tasks, this role is critical to maintaining a robust control environment within the Rates Algorithmic Trading Business. The role is also key to enabling business growth through maintaining a sound control environment, facilitating new business initiatives, product expansion and driving technology change within the business and will cover a range of identified opportunities in Trading and Technology. The Business Analyst should be able to work well in a team environment and should be able to function without close supervision and with good project management skills.
Responsibilities:
Business Administration:
- Liaison with support functions building relationships with market risk, risk and controls, compliance and technology to assist in delivering on business strategy
- Create and update effective metrics to desk heads and seniors
- Involvement in maintaining the control framework for the wider business including Managers Control Assessment (MCA), operational loss processes, investigation and developing and driving corrective actions.
- Other ad hoc administration tasks that support the activities of the business including PowerPoint presentations and excel analysis.
Control Focus:
- Seek out and ensure corrective actions are implemented for control related issues across the spectrum of control functions with a goal of driving a robust, efficient and scalable business model across all traded asset classes.
Business Development & Project Management:
- Participate in business-driven projects across functions, driving implementation working closely with relevant seniors.
- Provide input into and drive technology change, process and control framework enhancements
Business Skills:
- Demonstrate a knowledge of financial markets, focused on Interest Rate products
- Relay business knowledge, product knowledge, and requirements to business and internal support functions where required
- Co-ordinate and participate actively in all relevant business initiatives as required.
Communication Skills:
- Foster excellent relationships between the businesses and various support functions
- Communicate (written and oral) information within and between the businesses and support functions
- Communicate effectively within the business management teams locally and globally
Technical Capabilities:
- High level of computer literacy especially in the Microsoft Office product suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Development Value:
- Develop a detailed understanding of the Rates business, its products and processes and how it operates within a large organization
- Build effective prioritization skills as the job entails dealing with multiple conflicting priorities in a time-pressured environment.
- The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work and build relationships with a broad range of people inside the organization, including Business/Desk Heads and Global Functions Business Partners
Requirements
Knowledge/Experience:
- Business management, finance, operations, audit or related experience within global financial services firms
- Exposure to Interest Rate products would be an advantage
- Strong Project Management and execution skills
- Familiar at working with and manipulating large data sets – QlikView, Powerbase, Python or SQL skills an advantage but not required.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years experience
- Subject matter expert in derivatives products
- Experience of working on projects and delivering to assigned deadlines.
- Effective analytical skills, particularly around requirements gathering, requirements documentation, and data interrogation
- Excellent communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Salary:
$69,050.00 - $96,350.00
