Job Description & Responsibilities
Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) is a leading global corporate insurance carrier. We provide risk consultancy, Property-Casualty insurance solutions and alternative risk transfer for a wide spectrum of commercial, corporate and specialty risks across 10 dedicated lines of business. The North America Distribution team supports Large Corporate business expansion across North America.
The Impact You Will Have
As a Sr. Business Analyst – Project Management, you will play a crucial role in optimizing financial processes and systems, improving operational efficiency, and driving strategic decision-making
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT, to identify, analyze, and document business requirements related to financial operations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business process models, functional specifications, user stories, process maps and test cases.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize Agile methodologies and frameworks (such as Scrum or Kanban) to manage project timelines, track progress, and adapt to changing business needs. Including acting as an Agile Product Owner, defining and prioritizing product features, managing the product backlog, and ensuring the delivery of value to stakeholders.
- Identify and drive efficiencies within Finance Operations processes with a focus on productivity and efficiency gains, including a focus on achieving the department goals. The focus will include cash, receivables, payables, reinsurance, etc.
- Set the market standard of excellence in all touch points with both internal and external customers.
- Any other projects or tasks as assigned.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- 3-5 years experience as a Business Analyst in finance operations, preferably within a global organization.
- 1-3 years experience with Agile project methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and proficiency in Agile tools like Jira or Trello.
- 3 years experience as an Agile Product Owner, including defining and prioritizing product features, managing the product backlog, and collaborating with development teams.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) is a plus.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) is a plus.
What we offer
The annualized base pay range for this role is $74,445 to $116,945. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AGCS total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
