Job Description & Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in analyzing and optimizing Starbucks' store portfolio, renovation, and reinvestment strategy. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and analytics, to gather, evaluate, and synthesize data-driven insights. This role requires a strong understanding of both business acumen and technical skills, ensuring seamless collaboration with the technology and analytics teams. The Business Analyst will support decision-making by providing actionable recommendations that align with long-term strategic goals for store investments and portfolio management
As a senior business analyst, you will…
- Data Analysis & Insights Generation: Analyze data from various sources (e.g., financial reports, store operations, customer behavior) to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making around store renovations, portfolio optimization, and reinvestment strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across technology, operations, and finance to align on key objectives, ensuring that analytical findings are integrated into business decisions and operational plans.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track performance metrics, forecast future outcomes, and measure the impact of store investments and operational changes
Requirements
We’d love to Hear From People With
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, ideally in retail, real estate, or store portfolio management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistics, data interpretation, modeling, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and other analytics platforms.
- Ability to work effectively at the intersection of business, analytics, and technology.

- If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
