Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will analyze, define and design system solutions for the business and IT organization. You will work with business stakeholders and IT staff as a technology liaison to solve business issues and requests. You will serve as the subject matter expert, providing technical consultation and analysis of complex business problems, validating delivered functionality and managing overall projects and releases

Job Responsibilities:
- The Senior Business Analyst will define business requirements and translate those requirements into technical requirements and functional designs for software engineers.
- Project Planning and Controls - Develop detailed resource plans and work schedules to ensure projects are properly positioned for success. Effectively utilize company applications like FastTrack, Confluence, LiveLink, and e-mail to ensure excellent project communications.
- Project Communications - Coordinate project meetings and project status reporting. Thoroughly document and communicate all project risks to project team and ePlus management.
- End-user coordination - Establish relationships to effectively collaborate with end-users for requirements, design, testing, and training.
- Requirements Analysis - Develop project requirements and project justification. Ensure that project requirements and justification are fully understood and approved by all stakeholders.
- Functional Design - Document in detail how proposed solutions will behave and meet the needs of the business. Review with stakeholders and obtain sign-off. Ensure development staff fully comprehend proposed solutions and requirements.
- Documentation - Produce project artifacts including issue/enhancement requests, scope/requirements, functional specifications, testing documentation. Work collaboratively with end users to develop training and user guides. Work collaboratively with technical staff to produce operational and supporting system documentation.
- Testing - Develop testing plans and coordinate with others to complete test case documentation and execute system tests. Manage bugs and regression test applications.
- Change Management - Ensure project compliance to ePlus Change Management process.
Your Corporate Responsibilities:
Internal Control responsibilities vary by role and are subject to change. Please discuss your individual internal control responsibilities with your immediate supervisor on a regular basis.
- Log all system and process changes in FastTrack change management application.
- Ensure all application and access control changes are authorized by management
- Ensure all application changes are fully tested and evidence is properly recorded.
- Ensure all application and business changes are properly reflected in the SOX Internal Control Directives (ICD’s).
- Handle confidential matters and information professionally
- Conduct business in a professional, competent and ethical manner
- Adhere to corporate policies and procedures
Requirements
Job Knowledge/Skills:
- Project management skills; willing to coordinate the work of others
- Attention to detail. Ability to multi-task. Strong follow-up skills
- Excellent analysis skills, including the ability to document and illustrate business requirements and IT solutions
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, run meetings, and build consensus.
- Strong knowledge of IT and software development lifecycle practices and tools (e.g., for Diagramming and Data Modeling)
- Strong customer focused and results oriented attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adept in use of MS Office products, Visio, and Project
- Willingness to travel as needed (10%-20% travel per month may occasionally be required).
- Willingness to perform keyboard intensive work 90% of the time
Education and Experience:
- College degree is required, advanced degree a plus
- IT procurement or professional services experience a plus
- Experience with web portal design highly desired
- Experience with diagramming techniques, like UML and data modeling, a plus
- Technical Certifications like PMP, Project+, ITIL or other vendor certifications are a plus, but not required
- 10+ years of experience performing business/systems analysis and managing IT projects. Consulting experience is a plus
What we offer
The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $110,000 and $120,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
