Senior Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

This role is responsible for the calculation and payment of Corporate Customer Rebates and/or GPO Fees. This role is also responsible for setting up, maintaining, and monitoring Accruals and Upcharges. Payments and Accruals have a direct impact on the net profitability of all Sales and Product Divisions.

  • Calculate and process payments for Customer Rebates and GPOs. This includes running and creating numerous reports for customers and Medline management in a timely fashion and answering any and all questions regarding said payments and reports.
  • Set up, monitor and audit all rebate accruals and upcharges for their respective rebates. This includes providing a monthly reconciliation to Finance to ensure that any necessary accrual adjustments are included in month-end reporting
  • Work closely and collaborate with other Finance department to achieve Medline goals such as: Explain financial results, hold payments as needed based on AR balances and interest outstanding. This includes working directly with Finance, Sales, and the customers to ensure contract compliance.
  • Assist with any miscellaneous projects as assigned by the Rebate Manager.
  • Occasionally required to provide additional ad hoc reporting and analysis for rebate payments and/or accruals and upcharges as requested by Medline Management.
  • Partner closely with the Sales team and customers to explain rebates payments, contract terms and ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner via a high-level of customer service.
  • Read and interpret customer contracts and reach out to Legal and Compliance as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics or Applied Statistics.
  • At least 5 years of related experience or combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to successfully apply standard financial, accounting and business problem-solving skills to business problems with multiple variables.
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: modifying default field properties, creating a sub form, adding a control button, modifying query criteria and query totals, using conditional formatting and/or viewing data relationships).
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of algebra and business statistics.

Preferred Requirements

  • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Financial Analysis experience.
  • Prior experience with SAP and/or the ability to learn SAP
  • Communication skills both written and verbal as well as working with others in different locations.
  • Attention to detail and organization skills.

The Anticipated Salary Range For This Position

$79,560.00 - $115,440.00 Annual

This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.
