Job Description & Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst. This key role will provide instrumental support for our Rightsline application (rights management software) and will manage rights-related procedures within the company. This includes overseeing Contract Management, Rights-In, Rights-Out, Avails, Revenue Recognition, and Reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong customer service ethic, technical proficiency, and functional expertise. They will bring an analytical mindset, the ability to thrive under pressure, deft multitasking skills, and an innate propensity to understand and proactively solve problems. We are looking for someone who will dive into data analysis for reporting purposes and will make significant contributions to the application roadmap for rights-related initiatives. This role also involves participation in the proposed Salesforce program that aids our Sales and Acquisitions processes.

Job Responsibilities:
Application Management & Procedure Oversight
- Oversee the Rightsline application and company's rights-related procedures, including Contract Management, Rights-In, Rights-Out, Avails, Revenue Recognition, and Reporting.
- Handle user account administration and conduct regular access reviews.
- Generate reports and perform minor application configuration changes.
- Execute workflow and back-end data updates.
- Uphold all information security protocols and standards.
Incident Resolution & Customer Service
- Uphold a high standard of customer service and responsiveness.
- Track and resolve incidents and requests, coordinating with the application vendor or integration applications as needed.
- Document all issues in the Helpdesk system and monitor their progress.
- Manage multiple requests in the ticket queue, prioritizing and escalating unresolved issues as necessary.
- Adapt to flexible work schedules to accommodate early starts or late finishes as per business needs.
Training & Development
- Coordinate with the vendor to understand upcoming releases, and develop testing and impact analysis plans.
- Support and train various business units within the company during system adoption.
- Contribute to the application roadmap for rights-related initiatives and participate in the proposed Salesforce program that supports Sales and Acquisitions processes.
- Assist in projects, including business case development, requirements analysis, testing, documentation, and training.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- 3+ years of experience in an IT Business Analyst (or equivalent), in an Entertainment or Media company
- Experience working with a rights management system
- Self-starter with exceptional communication skills, keen eye for accuracy, thoroughness, and quality standards. Proficiency in managing pressure and multitasking effectively is a must.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills, with an inherent curiosity to understand issues and a proactive approach to formulate solutions.
- Capacity to independently manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong presentation skills coupled with the ability to deliver effective training, quickly identify and resolve problems, skillfully gather and analyze information, maintain client confidentiality, and exercise excellent independent judgment.
Preferred:
- Experience working with Rightsline
- Education in Computer and/or Business Science related field
What we offer
Compensation: Salary ($100,000-$125,000 range) + 10% Discretionary Target Bonus
