This is a hybrid position primarily based in Columbia, MD or St. Paul MN. We’re committed to your flexibility and wellbeing and our hybrid strategy currently requires three days a week in the office, giving you the option to work remotely for some of your working week. Computershare Corporate Trust (CCT) is a division within Computershare responsible for providing trustee and sophisticated agency services for private and public companies, investment bankers, asset managers, government agencies and other financial institutions.
The Application Business Analyst operates within the Business Solutions team that supports the larger Corporate Trust business products and services acting as a liaison between the client and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with systems solutions.
A role you will love
The Application Business Analystis responsible for assessing business requirements and translating them into business user stories. They participate as a member of an agile team or on larger initiatives and demand management items based on team and initiative needs, as well as the individual’s expertise and interests.
The Application Business Analystmay also correspond with business stakeholders and Technology in response to queries received, providing accurate written or verbal guidance and interpretation to maintain high quality customer service standards.
Work closely with the Business Stakeholders, Application Product Owner and Delivery team to create backlog items on initiatives, enhancements, and other changes that come up, using excellent written and oral communications.
- Effectively obtain information from stakeholders to obtain requirements
- Support Application Product Owner to assist in creation of user stories in teams' backlog, and aid in sequencing of user stories considering any dependencies
- Work with team to break apart user stories and detail acceptance criteria
- Identify and manage changes and refinements to user stories
- Support Application Product Owner in grooming the backlog
- Identify and communicate risks, issues, constraints, and assumptions that may impact scope and/or solution.
- Provide status on assigned tasks in Daily Stand-ups
- Participate in Sprint planning, Reviews and Retros – support team as needed
- Can take on other scrum team tasks as appropriate in support across functional Agile development team
- Work closely with the Business Stakeholders to implement change and provide support.
- Works with user groups to assist in creation of test scripts as necessary
- Supports coordination of UAT testing with stakeholders for release testing
- Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs and recommend changes
- Provide support and/or subject matter expertise of the system, it’s capabilities, underlying data and change impacts as well as act as a point of contact for user support to end users
Requirements
What will you bring to the role?
Required
- 5+ years in operational, technical, business product management or equivalent experience
- 1 year of experience with agile (SaFE) product development methodology
Preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and build consensus in a reciprocal way
- Proven technology acumen and a desire to learn
- Knowledge of Agile tools such as ADO (Azure Devops), Confluence
- Knowledge of Agile SCRUM and Kanban
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $84,000- $120,000. This base pay is a national average and may not be applicable to all locations.
