As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be empowered to consult with business process improvements. In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission by developing scope definition and advising with setting business priorities for changes and system implementations. As part of the R&D technology team, you will report to the Head of Product Management, Development Core.

POSITION OBJECTIVES

  • Consults with business processes improvements within area of responsibility.
  • Develops scope definition and advises with setting business priorities for changes and system implementations.
  • Solves problems, advises about operational needs, and gives expertise on business processes opportunities.

Position Accountabilities

  • Leads cross-functional project teams and works with business process owners to determine and translate business requirements into technology solutions, partner with business teams to develop delivery roadmaps
  • Consults on identifying, investigating and problem solving, uses Business Process Mapping, discusses, and escalates issues appropriately.
  • Advises stakeholders to prioritize requirements and to ensure the total solution delivered to the customer meets/exceeds expectations.
  • Executes and integrates small to medium-scale changes and requirements in the delivery of projects.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to document business processes.
  • Lead product selection process guiding business teams through the RFI/ RFP process for the selection of SaaS solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal resources for license acquisition and contract negotiation.
  • Provides input into project budgets and reporting within own area.
  • Uses analytical approaches and independent judgment to proactively identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline business processes.
  • Analyzes, documents business requirements, and provides business IT consulting support to Business from area of responsibility.
  • Follows company and departmental policies, procedures and ensures documentation according to the Takeda Quality Management Systems (QMS), Agile Software Development Life Cycle and Product Lifecycle Management standards.
  • Interacts with department/project and product team members by advising to help make decisions.
  • Works independently with stakeholders to prioritize requirements and is primary resource on complex issues within a clear framework of accountability.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with business stakeholders.
Senior Business Analyst - Job requirements

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to write and speak in the English language.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, business acumen with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred to have GxP knowledge and experience in the validation of regulated applications, managing and maintaining of CSV deliverables.
  • Practice efficient time management and coordinates tasks, working with applications in a regulated environment.
  • Understanding of how IT efforts are tied to achievement of business goals.
  • Experience in SaaS contract negotiations, procurement processes, and owning purchase orders.
  • Knowledge of R&D business solutions preferable in any of the following business areas Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, PharmacoVigilance, Medical.
  • Business Analyst and/or Project management experience.
  • Ability to prepare and execute business meetings virtual, face-to-face, cross functional, local, or global to ensure meeting required deliverables.
  • Experience in communicating effectively to business and IT leaders on content, context, process, and decision making.
  • Professional in-depth knowledge of business processes in the pharmaceutical industry within functional area.

Location and Salary Information

  • Base Salary Range $102,300 to $146,000, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees may also be eligible for Short Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits as well. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off.
  • The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.

This position is currently classified as “hybrid” in accordance with Takeda’s Hybrid and Remote Work policy.
