Job Description & Responsibilities
Remote Role - Must reside in (EST or CST)
Foot Locker is seeking an analytical and motivated Senior Analyst, Business Data. The role will provide leadership role in the acquisition, management, manipulation, and analysis of data, and use expertise to assist in making insightful business decisions, driving growth and measuring success.
Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between the Business Analysis team and the Data Analytics department for all issues and requests for information
- Analyze and solve complex problems for implementation of innovative solutions
- Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to improve store performance and overall business processes
- Lead the development and maintenance of operational reports and dashboards utilizing, Excel, Excel VBA, SQL Server and Power BI
- Ability to create ad hoc reporting to determine impact of newly implemented initiatives
- Collaborate with Data team on projects and process enhancements
- Develop personal expertise and lead the training of BA Team in dashboards, reporting, and presentations for all levels of management
- Perform basic statistical analyses for projects and reports including extensive data verification
- Stay current with business analysis tools and techniques
Requirements
Qualifications
- 4-year degree preferred, preferably in Computer Science, Business or Mathematics
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data mining and analysis techniques, preferably retail related
- Proficient in Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services
- Excel VBA programming experience
- Technical expertise regarding data models and database design.
- Adept at complex queries and report writing.
- Basic understanding of statistics
- Experience in data mining techniques and procedures
- Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
- Excellent reading comprehension and ability to write clearly and succinctly
- Must be able to read and analyze data and report information and effectively interpret and communicate analysis
- Requires extensive attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Requires good interpersonal, problem-solving and organization skills
- Must possess strong communication skills, oral and written
- Ability to speak clearly, enabling him/her to converse effectively with executive management, operations associates, data partners and the merchandising function.
What we offer
The annual base salary range is $69000 - $83000 / yr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below:
