Job Description & Responsibilities
As a key member of the HDD Business Marketing team, the Business Analyst's primary focus will be working within Marketing to measure and analyze the Hard Disk Drive Market. The Hard Disk Drive market consists of several segments and geographies that are dynamic. This job will help maintain key data points that are used to manage company strategy.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Organize data inputs from Market team to create a comprehensive analysis of the market opportunity for HDD
- Perform and consolidate market research using data from 3rd parties.
- Review historical data for accuracy and review to help improve business marketing manager forecast accuracy
- Prepare and present business updates and analysis to senior management which include business analytics of TAM, Volume, Share trends
- Extend data analysis into storylines and executable strategies
- Collaborate and provide key data to cross functional teams
- Monitor Business Marketing forecasts for potential impacts to overall TAM model and messaging
- Engage in developing tools to consolidate data and enhance analytics
Requirements
REQUIRED
- BA/BS Pref MBA -- Business, Finance, engineering, economics, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience; semiconductor (business or product management) or experience within the data storage segment
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills and customer presence
- Critical thinker -- ability to analyze large datasets and be able to identify key conclusions
- Highly motivated, passionate about own work and for the success of the company
Skills
- Demonstrated success in building strong relationships internally and externally
- Strong Excel skills: data collection, management, and complex modeling. SQL, OBIEE, PowerBI, Tableau a plus.

- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan.
