Job Description & Responsibilities
The Senior Business Analyst leads the business requirements process on strategically important projects for the firm. This role with interact with project stakeholders and other subject matter experts to learn a business process, document detailed requirements, review with technical and non-technical resources on the team and ensure the execution of the project objectives aligns with the stakeholders needs.
This role will lead business requirements for technology-centered and process improvement projects. Technology projects will include the evaluation, selection and implementation of new systems, the development of custom in-house solutions and major improvements to existing products.
Process-improvement projects will involve definition and implementation of standardized processes along with defining efficiency improvements for existing processes.
The Senior Business Analyst will understand and promote key concepts and best practices relating to business analysis at the firm. This role will understand both waterfall and agile methodologies and be able to adapt the business requirements process to both methodologies.
Essential Functions
- Work with project stakeholders across the firm to understand, analyze and document business requirements for system implementations, enhancements, and process improvement projects.
- Meet with business stakeholders and document business requirements, which can be translated into functional specifications, process flows and system design specifications.
- Responsible for recognizing and communicating the downstream effects a system or process change will have on other areas of the business
- Identifies and recommends alternative methods and technologies to meet business needs.
- Documents detailed current state & future state business processes to drive productivity improvements.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders and technical teams to deliver functional requirements.
- Act as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams.
- Lead and perform quality assurance testing on certain projects, including the design and execution test scripts and test scenarios.
- Ensures that issues identified during testing are tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner. Works with stakeholders to perform acceptance testing. Communicate needed changes to development team.
- Establish and maintain processes, best practices, and metrics relating to business analysis.
- Work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to determine success metrics for each project.
- Provide basic project management functions for smaller projects and activities including but not limited to project scoping, planning and resource management.
Requirements
Education, Experience And Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least five years as lead business analyst on complex process-improvement and system implementations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical, listening, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate across support teams, contribute to a positive team spirit and earn the trust and confidence of co-workers.
- Must be flexible to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities; ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple, detailed tasks.
- Proven ability to quickly learn a new business process and firm technology platforms
- Experience with both waterfall and agile development methodologies.
- Experience participating in multiple, complex projects and working with diverse teams in multiple locations

The anticipated pay range for this role is $87,500 - $131,000, which represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
