Job Description & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst who is passionate about building an organization's business intelligence and ability to make data-driven decisions.
Guided by the SDF's annual strategy and north stars, the successful candidate will work with internal stakeholders to advise and inform strategy through data-driven, actionable insights. They will work within the Office of the CEO, reporting to the Chief of Staff, and play a key role in operationalizing data into strategy development and assessment. This role contextualizes what is happening within the Stellar ecosystem and provides mission-aligned recommendations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to tell the Stellar story.
In this role, you will:
- Support data-driven decision-making by answering questions that craft a clear understanding of SDF's progress
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document data, analytics and reporting requirements
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and make business recommendations
- Conduct end-to-end analyses, and build visualizations and reporting that enable data-driven decision-making
- Communicate compelling and practical insights from data analysis and present them regularly
- Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting
- Collaborate cross-functionally with a variety of roles (e.g. engineers, business development, executives)
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Solid understanding of business processes and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- 5+ years' of active experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex data sets and synthesizing data insights into actionable recommendations
- Proficiency in data querying and data analysis over large data sets, using SQL
- Familiarity with data visualization tools
We offer competitive pay with a base salary range for this position of $130,000-$175,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, we offer lumen-denominated grants along with the following perks and benefits:
