Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Principal Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding and modifying business processes, gathering system requirements, writing system requirements, and looking at data for patterns. They will also be responsible for testing software applications and systems to improve business processes.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.
- Improve training and operational procedures within a business to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Work directly with clients to understand the individual needs of the business.
- Use a variety of data analysis and organization tools to discover the most impactful insights.
- Develop project goals, phases, and budgets.
- Establish specifications for new projects.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders.
- Communicate with key stakeholders.
- Schedule projects and run meetings.
- Test and integrate distributed cloud applications.
Requirements
You Have These Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of agile, scrum, and water-fall methods of development.
- Use QA test tools like Mercury to ensure software quality.
- Use documentation tools like Word, Visio, and PowerPoint to create technical documents.
- Working knowledge of Python, C, or Java.
- Use SQL skills to create ad hoc queries including building data models for proof-of-concept applications.
- Good understanding of cloud computing, client server architecture and systems.
And These Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Seven or more years of experience in a technical role.
What we offer
The annual salary range for this position in California is $111,300 - $151,500. The salary offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
