Job Description & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Data Analytics Officer, the Business Analyst Manager will provide expertise in the financial services and collections industry and will have a strong background in financial analysis, business process improvement, and project management within the collections sector.
The Business Analyst Manager will be responsible for managing a small team of business analysts in identifying, analyzing, and implementing solutions to improve collections processes and drive operational efficiency within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing a test and learn agenda to drive business results. In addition, candidates must have experience performing analytics on legal collections and debt settlement.
Requirements
- Manage a team of business analysts in the development and implementation of collections strategies
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and optimize collections performance
- Implement a test and learn agenda to continuously improve collections strategies
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collections outcomes
- Provide expertise in legal collections and debt settlement processes
- Utilize digital engagement strategies to connect with customers in a digital environment
- Implement digital solutions in a production environment to improve collections efficiency
- Utilize SAS, SQL, Python, and R to perform advanced analytics on collections data
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts on the team
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop project plans for collections initiatives.
- Conduct financial analysis specific to collections performance, including delinquency rates, recovery rates, and portfolio analysis.
- Develop and maintain collections KPIs to track and measure the success of collections strategies and initiatives.
- Manage and prioritize collections projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality deliverables.
- Communicate collections project status, issues, and risks to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements within the financial services collections industry.
Requirements
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in collections within the financial services industry
- Proven experience in implementing test and learn agendas to drive business results
- Strong understanding of legal collections and debt settlement processes
- Experience with digital engagement strategies and connecting with customers in a digital environment
- Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, and R for performing advanced analytics on collections data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
