Job Description & Responsibilities
National Grid’s Graduate Development Program (GDP) is an in-depth training and development program for high achieving recent college graduates who aspire to take on future leadership roles in a dynamic, ever-changing industry. Graduates will shape the future of National Grid. Bringing fresh thinking, new perspectives, and exploring with energy, we’ll give you real responsibility and an opportunity to move with purpose from day one – putting the power to supercharge your career in your hands.
Graduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 4-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US. Following Orientation, Graduates begin working in their hired position and take part ongoing development activities through your first year including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Capstone Project at the completion of your first year with National Grid.
Information Technology and Digital Graduate Rotations

But we're not looking for external recognition — we already know what we do is vital. In fact, we like to think of ourselves as a band of unsung heroes. Our IT Graduate Development Rotational Program will provide you with the opportunity to be at heart of this transformation. The program consists of an 18-month exploration consisting of three 6-month rotations in varying IT & Digital departments. Your first rotation will be in the role outlined below and you will return to this role following two broadening 6-month rotations where you will solve complex problems and focus on growth that will transform the energy sector as we know it. About The Position
As an Associate IT Business Analyst, you will be a part of an innovative team helping to deliver new technologies to our Gas side of the business. You will be a part of a solution-oriented team working to automate AI related technologies and projects to our business. You will be a part of our digital first approach, helping to transform the clean energy landscape with innovative and sustainable solutions!
You will have a great opportunity to flex your technical and project management skills!
- Maximize common processes, off-the-shelf solutions, and existing architectures by developing project execution procedural documentation or manuals.
- Develop sound relationships with key business representatives across relevant project delivery teams to ensure adherence to common processes and solutions.
- Ensure the investment and resulting solution meets the business need.
- Participate in project solution testing, deviation identification and production implementation processes.
Requirements
It would be awesome if you had
- Any programming experience (Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, etc.)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum Methodology
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Mathematics, and/or related numerative degree is preferred from an accredited institution
- Graduated between May 2023 and June 2024
- Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on May 28, 2024 or July 8, 2024
- Valid US driver’s license
- Applicants for the Graduate Development Program must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)

Salary
$60,000 - $70,000 a year
