Business Analyst, Supply Chain - Job Role & Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Systems Analyst position will contribute to the support, maintenance and enhancement of all GO Supply Chain and Logistics systems from both a project and operational perspective. The position will be focused on the support, enhancement and roll out of any developments as it relates to the Supply Chain which includes: the Highjump/Koerber One WMS, SAP transition and 3rd party interfaces and systems. The analyst will also be responsible for championing the gathering of project requirements, participating in testing, coordinating system improvements and planning and leading training sessions to ensure the overall success of business requirements. The analyst will be expected to provide support by analyzing and investigating system processes and recommending solutions to business and technical issues as necessary. The Supply Chain Systems Analyst reports to the Warehouse Management Systems Manager.

Responsibilities Include

  • Develop a deep understanding of the GO business and how supply chain systems can be applied in terms of processes, functionality, configuration and interfaces to reach greater optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, requirements, design, develop and implement capabilities relating to supply chain systems.
  • Participate in the development of project plans and ensure that projects are completed within scope, timeline and budget constraints.
  • Provide on-going support for supply chain system by troubleshooting issues, striving to swiftly resolve problems, minimizing downtime and eliminating the root cause of inefficiencies.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to project team. This includes creating process models, specifications, diagrams, documentation and process flows to provide direction to the team.
  • Conduct systems configurations, testing and participate in the deployment of supply chain system enhancements, upgrades and maintenance activities.
  • Create/review detailed testing plans and test scripts in alignment with established solution design.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and end-users to develop and maintain training materials, work instructions and SOPs. Provide training and support as necessary.
  • Enforce all policies including SOX controls and ensure compliance through user provisioning, de-provisioning and audit reviews.
  • Read and write SQL queries and stored procedures for troubleshooting, generating reports and extracting and analyzing data.
  • Function as a liaison between Warehouse Operations and IT team.
  • May manage other responsibilities as necessary.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Science/Supply Chain or related field or demonstrated experience in these areas.
  • Experience with WMS/LMS software implementation and support (Highjump/Koerber One is a plus).
  • Ability to read and write SQL queries, understanding of relation databases.
  • Familiar with Supply Chain technologies (WCS/Automation/Voice/TMS/Devices).
  • Supply Chain experience in retail distribution and Distribution Center process flow is preferred.
  • Must clearly understand the end to end processes across the applications and systems within the Supply Chain.
  • Experience managing and leading projects and training.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills will be required to work across multiple levels of the organization while maintaining a strong focus on the final customer - the store.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, researching and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently.
