Job Description & Responsibilities
The Sol de Janeiro Amazon team is seeking a Strategic Business Analyst to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strategic, analytical mind and an entrepreneurial mindset to contribute to business decisions and planning. This role will report to the Director, Amazon Ecommerce.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
General business support responsibilities
- Support Amazon and Digital commerce teams with administering BI tools and ongoing data projects which include creating and maintaining dataflows and dashboards.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams including marketing, sales & operations, financial planning, and supply chain to collect, cleanse, organize, and analyze business data to create useable and meaningful visualizations and dashboards.
- Evaluate business data processes, recurring meetings, and leadership reports to automate these processes through our business intelligence tool. When necessary, present and share complex data analysis and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
- Incorporate new data sources and transform the raw data into usable, clean, and organized data that can connect with other datasets within the business.
Conduct analyses of the Amazon business and market to identify growth opportunities
- Monitor, analyze and report on performance and trends of the Sol de Janeiro business, its competitors, and the beauty landscape.
- Deep dive into strategic topics to identify growth opportunities
- Pro-actively identify areas to research in order to uncover important insights to drive the business
- Communicate findings clearly and concisely to management and across the organization
- Develop reports/dashboards for stakeholders that are simple and effective across multiple facets of the business to track progress against plans
Partner with Amazon team leadership team on strategic annual and long-term planning
- Assist in assortment planning
- Assess and forecast growth areas and deep dive mix of business opportunities
- Evaluate marketing and operational investments, analyzing & assessing impact
- Maintain and update long term plan projections and building blocks
- Lead preparation of Business Review and Planning presentations, to include developing charts for PowerPoint
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years in an analytical function, eg Finance, Consulting, Sales Planning, Business Intelligence
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional Excel & systems prowess
- Can be strategic. Balances attention to detail with understanding of the big picture
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Likes a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational & multi-tasking skills. Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through ability
- An entrepreneurial spirit and eagerness to learn. Takes initiative, is curious, willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Must be comfortable working a hybrid schedule (Remote + 1-3 days per week in our NY Office)
What we offer
Salary Range
$90,000—$105,000 USD
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
