Business Analyst, SAP - Job Role & Responsibilities

This role will work with the business customers, business process owners, technical architects, application designers and SAP configuration team to define and implement the functional business process requirements for the SAP system, within the assigned functional area of Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Quality Management.

Principal Accountabilities (Functional)

  • Analyzes business needs and processes to assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining Universal’s SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to gather requirements to understand workflow, goals, and processes to ensure SAP solutions align with business objectives.
  • Documents business requirements, functional specifications, and process maps to serve as reference points.
  • Analyzes system performance and user feedback to identify process improvements and SAP functionality.
  • Evaluate user requests for new or modified programs to determine feasibility, cost, time required and compatibility to current system and computer capabilities.
  • Guide functional owners and users in utilizing core SAP system in order to meet business needs.
  • Evaluate requests or business initiatives to ensure alignment and integration with other functional areas.
  • Supply chain strategy, sales and operations planning, supply chain planning/performance, and inventory management with SAP.
  • Implement configuration changes and minor custom development, as required.
  • Perform other job related duties as required.
Business Analyst, SAP - Job requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, with 2-4 years of related experience; In lieu of degree commensurate experience will be considered.
  • Good understanding of configuration and system design in the functional areas of Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality Management within SAP version ECC 6.0 or later.
  • Willingness to analyze issues within the FICO, MM, PP, and SD modules.
  • Experience of at least one full life-cycle SAP implementation and/or upgrade.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is required .
  • NetWeaver experience is a plus.

Responsibility for Quality Procedures or Direct Product Quality

  • Adheres to Universal Quality System policies and procedures and uses Total Cycle Time principles and standard problem solving tools to continuously improve work processes.

Physical Demands

  • Remaining stationary for extended periods and needs to be mobile enough to navigate through work areas.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with fellow colleagues, and in giving presentations.
