Job Description & Responsibilities
Retail Technology is looking for a curious and dynamic Business Analyst to join Vail Resorts' rapidly growing Retail Applications Group. As a partner to the Retail, Rental, Operations departments within the organization, this individual will help support the technology at each of the 250 retail locations, focused on a core suite of Retail Applications including ERP (inventory, distribution, buying, etc.), reporting and point-of-sale functionality. Working cross-functionally with Merchandising, Operations, Warehousing, Accounting, and other areas of IT, this person is a key contributor supporting production system health and delivering key IT enhancements.
The ideal candidate for this role is excited to help a team improve, develop, and support a uniquely complex retail environment. They will be comfortable moving between the technical analyst, business analyst and quality assurance spaces, as this role requires flexibility between each of those disciplines. This position brings value to the organization through thought leadership, technical acumen, process design, business partnership, and collaboration with our 3rd party development partners. We are looking for a candidate that enjoys troubleshooting in the field as much as they enjoy facilitating business needs.
Job Responsibilities
Production Managment
- Assess severity/priority of production issues, determine business impact, and communicate progress during resolution.
- Remediate issue tickets following ITIL practices across retail systems, server integration points, access provisioning and more.
- Executes, optimizes and ensures all SOX (Sarbanes Oxley), PCI (Payment Card Industry) and DSR (Data Subject Request)tasks are completed thoroughly with a high attention to detail.
- Technical aptitude using SQL, data monitoring and job management tools to troubleshoot complex issues.
Enhancement Delivery
- Deliver key system enhancements to improve system stability and business functions.
- Ensure all enhancement work follows the SDLC process, meets SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) and PCI (Payment Card Industry)requirements, and maintain all required compliance documentation.
- Proficient in QA (Quality Assurance) Life Cycle by developing test plans and test scripts, documenting test results, and reporting on results while coordinating usage of test environments.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with third-party vendors, IT partners, and business stakeholders to proactively support our production environment and deliver on enhancement tasks.
- Facilitate and own business stake holder's backlog management for enhancements following SDLC practices.

Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- 2+ years of demonstrated IT business analysis or production support experience following ITIL practices.
- Ability to remediate technical issues thoroughly with quality customer support and clear communication
- Ability to deliver system enhancements using SDLC methodologies while leading through requirements, design, and testing process
- MS Development Technologies, including PowerShell, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS
- Prior application ownership experience (Ex: Aptos POS, Sales Audit, CRM, Loss Prevention, M MS, Oracle Retail, Manhattan Associates, SAP, Silvan, IT connect, ServiceNow)
- Strong SQL and system diagraming skills
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills; comfortable speaking with and translating between technical and non-technical team members at all levels of the organization
- Strong documentation skills
- Keen attention to detail, ensuring high quality application deployments
- Ability to manage multiple technical enhancements as well as application maintenance
- Ability to work in fast paced environment, comfortable with shifting priorities
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related concentration
Preferred
- IT Experience in retail, outdoor industry, or hospitality field
- Prior APTOS, MMS, or similar software application experience
- Exposure to a wide variety of database technology including AS/400 & D82 in addition to more modern platforms.
- Experience with Analytics tools - SSAS, SSRS, SAS, Tableau, Alteryx
- Strong Excel skills - Macros, VBA, Advanced Formulas
- Work order system experience, such as lvanti, Jira, etc.
- PMI-BA, PMI-ACP, IIBA, PSPO, POPM or other accredited certification or coursework is a plus

- Expected Pay Range: The budgeted range starts at $66,100.00 - $87,110.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
