Business Analyst, Product Experience - Job Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Product Experience Business Analyst to join the Program Management team to support our large, enterprise level, strategic projects. Our project Business Analysts work with a variety of Subject Matter Experts, Program Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, Implementation Partners, and Executive Leadership to understand, articulate, document, and champion the needs of your business stakeholders.

The Project Business Analyst I will support ongoing Product Experience projects and will operate as the main business analyst for those projects. This role will work with various business members to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, and with the architects and system leads to facilitate the development of solution concepts. A candidate for this position must have direct experience as a Business Analyst on agile projects: gathering requirements and writing user stories.

This is a remote position, ideal candidate can be located anywhere in the US**

Summary Of Primary Responsibilities

Operating as the Business Analyst on multiple enterprise-level initiatives / projects, responsible for participating in the full software development life cycle including:

  • Analyzing and documenting business requirements and detailed acceptance criteria, including challenging current business processes

  • Must be able to meet sprint deadlines and call out risks

  • Working with solution architects and/or vendors to identify, evaluate, and recommend potential solution options

  • Working with solution architects and/or vendors to analyze the feasibility and cost benefits of potential solutions

  • Participating in technical design

  • Supporting the business during UAT, including the writing of test scripts, facilitating business UAT discussions, and triaging and logging business-reported bugs

  • Participating in user documentation processes and business training sessions

  • Monitoring Post Go Live business reported issues

  • Level 2 application support and troubleshooting, approximately 10%

  • Will / may partner with other business analysts on enterprise technology projects

  • Travel when approved

Business Analyst, Product Experience - Job requirements

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • BA Degree
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience working as a business analyst on a delivery team responsible for deploying agile software solutions, ensuring business needs were met
  • Agile project management experience; must be personally experienced with eliciting detailed requirements, and grooming user stories
  • Ability to understand the connections between a master data management application and subscribing systems
  • Prior experience working in Jira or a similar project-tracking software
  • Prior experience working in Confluence or a similar wiki page creation software
  • Prior experience in Visio or a similar diagramming software
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and both written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to adapt to fluid situations, quick self-learner, and the ability to problem solve and manage through complexity
  • Knowledge of standard Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, at times with little supervision

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and analytical skills
  • Skilled in designing and implementing processes
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Excellent verbal, written, leadership, and management skills; must be comfortable speaking in front of large, senior leadership groups
  • Tech savvy and passionate about building products; track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making
  • Previous master data management experience preferred
  • Experience capturing requirements in a standard tool or documentation methodology
  • Experience building workflows and process flows
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening
  • Tailors communication approach to specific situations and audiences
  • Ability to leverage, influence, navigate, and build partnerships across business teams
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with cross-functional team members
  • Understands standard project management methodologies and requirements
  • Ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor work
  • Understands company, business segment, and/or project strategy, goals, and objectives
