As a Proactive Research Business Analyst at Gainwell, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve — a community’s most vulnerable. You will be responsible for translating business needs into reporting requirements, and collaborating with staff and client to ensure that operational and client reporting is delivered successfully. In addition, the BA will use system reports and analyses to identify potentially problematic data, make corrections, and determine root cause for data problems and suggest possible solutions. The BA is also prepare position papers, problem Statements, and reports associated with proposals and recommendations for review and approval by DHCS prior to taking any action.

- Analyze, plan, design, document and make recommendations to improve business processes to support client’s technological aspirations
- Be a supportive bridge between clients, project managers and technical personnel to define, track and communicate business requirements and their expected impact by building basic conceptual data and process models
- Create, execute or analyze basic test scenarios to verify that client requirements are built into system design
- Ensure that “intent of change” is carried out through every project phase by participating in technical reviews and inspections
- Demonstrates initiative and autonomy in supporting business operations by submitting proposals and recommendations that include definition of scope risk assessment, policy changes, and process and procedural enhancements
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Three or more years of experience translating technical goals and requirements into real action for clients. Knowledge in the Medicaid program is preferred
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other software for conducting quantitative analysis. SQL queries and gap analysis knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of basic computer programming concepts such as Configuration, Development and Batch Processing as well as knowledge in Data Extraction Technologies
- Strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills to deliver messages to business leaders, clients and technical personnel
- Capability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment

What we offer
The pay range for this position is $59,500.00 - $85,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
