Business Analyst, Operations - Job Role & Responsibilities

The Operations Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing data, in support of MTM’s business initiatives. The Operations Business Analyst will extract and analyze data from various sources to compile a comprehensive picture of successes and areas of improvement and work closely with internal and external stakeholders on solutions. The Operations Business Analyst will create presentations and use a data-driven approach to support MTM’s NEMT operations and its customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Extract and analyze data to support business initiatives and identify operational challenges within the organization
  • Determine root causes, and develop effective solutions
  • Prepare Leadership on how to talk through data and recommend improvements to external stakeholders
  • Develop analysis, trends, reports, visualizations, and presentations to support MTM’s NEMT operations and its customers
  • Research and determine which results require additional action and implement those action(s) as necessary
  • Evaluate outcomes and determine which require mitigation or explanation
  • Work with the Operational Analytics team and other Operations stakeholders to ideate and create meaningful analysis and reports that convey outcomes and trends
  • Collaborate with internal cross functional teams including the Operational Analytics team to drive meaningful reports and presentations, highlighting specific activities and process improvements put in place to drive better outcomes
  • Help improve financial status and quality metrics by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management
  • Recommend needed actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, including participation in MTM’s data governance activities
  • Ensure all reports and data transfers comply with MTM and HIPAA security guidelines and are appropriately documented
Business Analyst, Operations - Job requirements

What You’ll Need

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or a similar role
  • 1+ years’ experience developing presentations
  • 3 years’ experience in a professional capacity

Even better if you have...

  • Healthcare or Transportation Industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc., preferred
  • Ability to effectively interpret and analyze data and present results to stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex information into logical and concise presentations
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including ability to present to executive-level audience
  • Independent self-starter with strong prioritization, project management, and coordination skills
  • Ability to excel in a fluid, cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships
  • Excellent planning, documentation, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exposure and general understanding of Healthcare, Transportation, or Logistics, preferred
  • Proficient experience with modeling, reporting, and analyzing data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Business Intelligence applications
