Stop Soldier Suicide (SSS) is the only national nonprofit focused solely on reducing the military suicide rate. Our vision is a nation where service members and veterans have no greater risk of suicide than any other American. Our goal is to reduce military and veteran suicide rates by 40 percent no later than 2030, saving more than 2,400 lives per year.
SSS was co-founded in 2010 by Army veterans Brian Kinsella, Nick Black, and Craig Gridelli, and has grown over the last decade into the most innovative suicide intervention effort in the country. We provide consistent, confidential, suicide-specific care for service members and veterans at highest risk for suicide through our one-of-a-kind suicide intervention model, innovative use of data insights, and a technology-first approach. Job Description & Responsibilities
Stop Soldier Suicide is looking for our first Business Analyst, Marketing & Revenue who wants to step up every day to fuel the life-saving work we do with American veterans and service members.
The Business Analyst, Marketing & Revenue is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to brand and revenue campaigns, giving behavior, and market trends. This role reports to the Chief Growth Officer and will collaborate with stakeholders from multiple departments (Marketing, Development, Finance, Operations, etc.). The insights and recommendations you deliver will inform key decisions to support brand and revenue growth to drive our mission.
Our headquarters is located in North Carolina’s Research Triangle, but our focus is finding the right teammates to make our goal a reality. We invite candidates outside the geographic area to apply, provided you are flexible to accommodate a working schedule in EST or CST time zones.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Business Analyst, Marketing & Revenue will be entrusted with the following key responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze marketing initiatives, giving performance, and constituent behavior to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to drive improved revenue and marketing results.
- Develop, iterate, and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track revenue and marketing performance in real-time.
- Utilize historical data and statistical models to forecast trends, outcomes, and future results.
- Perform data validation as necessary to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Identify and address data quality issues.
- Synthesize data into recommendations with potential to improve business processes, revenue results, and outreach outcomes.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities.
- Suggest and inform A/B tests and experiments, based on data insights, to evaluate the effectiveness of different approaches. Clearly and concisely articulate learnings from completed tests.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to share findings and insights with stakeholders.
- Provide training to marketing and development teams on interpreting and utilizing data for decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate marketing and revenue data with broader business metrics
- Collaborate with marketing, development, and finance teams to set realistic targets and goals.
- Respond as needed to ad-hoc analytics requests, providing data sets and/or analysis to produce insights.
- Collaborate with campaign managers to monitor and improve campaign performance.
- With support of IT, Research, and Data Science partners, internal and external, explore predictive analytics models to forecast future marketing and revenue trends, and customer behavior.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
We’re looking for individuals who are committed to the mission, vision, and values of Stop Soldier Suicide. In addition, the Analyst should possess the following key attributes:
- 4-6 years of analytics experience with at least 2 years working with sales and marketing teams.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, statistical analysis tools (R, Python, Google Analytics, etc.), and data visualization tools ( Amazon QuickSight, PowerBI, Tableau, Quickview, Qlik, etc.)
- Familiarity with CRM software and marketing automation tools (Salesforce, Hubspot, Google, and Meta preferred.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - you have the ability to identify issues, get to root causes, and propose actionable solutions.
- Excellent communications skills – you have the ability to simplify complex data and tell data-driven stories.You can deliver insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Detail/deadline oriented - you plan time wisely, catch mistakes early, and prioritize work so you can successfully deliver on multiple projects.
- Demonstrate innovative thinking and be a self-starter who can collaborate within a team to achieve goals.
What we offer
SALARY AND BENEFITS
This is a full-time, exempt position. Salary is commensurate with experience and starts at $80,000/yr.
