Business Analyst, Marketing - Job Role & Responsibilities

The Marketing Business Analyst is responsible for managing internal databases, processes, and other supporting functions to support the Growth Organization in meeting annual goals. Under the supervision of the Marketing Campaign Performance Reporting & Insights Manager, this individual will work to capture requirements from stakeholders and ensure that marketing project implementation details are collected and to adhere to production schedules. This role will support the marketing process by maintaining database marketing tools and systems required for tracking, attribution, campaign metadata, and reporting.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced marketing production environment, with proven organizational skills and the ability engineer the coordination of needed marketing components from various internal and external entities. The candidate will have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to improve and implement new processes for continued efficiency improvement.

Duties

  • Work with Performance Marketing, Sales, Digital Solutions, Vendor Management, and other stakeholders to capture and track business requirements for marketing projects.
  • Function as campaign project manager to engineer and coordinate the details required for a successful marketing campaign from planning through back-end reporting.
  • Manage implementation of Performance Marketing projects, track milestones, and assist team members in acclimating to new processes and procedures required to complete projects.
  • Develop and maintain processes for marketing tracking, attribution, and reporting functions.
  • Support marketing database workstreams, including infrastructure build, campaign execution, and other areas to support go-to-market insight development and multi-channel campaign deployment.
  • Support Sales, Data & Analytics, and other teams to produce marketing performance reporting based on established data elements.
  • Support marketing strategy implementation by ensuring that campaign requirements are effectively communicated to stakeholders including creative services, growth strategy, and external agency teams.
  • Document all processes and maintain up-to-date records to facilitate training and onboarding of team members.
Business Analyst, Marketing - Job requirements

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or other related discipline. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Experience Requirements

  • Requires 4+ years of experience in corporate marketing, database marketing, digital marketing, or performance marketing roles.
  • Strong organization skills and ability keep campaigns on track and of high quality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing tracking and attribution techniques.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts, demonstrate and teach to team members at all levels.
  • Purposeful with powerful sense of urgency to deliver results.
  • Focus on outcomes and process – attention on delivering the right results, the right way.

Preferred

6+ years’ experience in corporate marketing, database marketing, digital marketing, or performance marketing roles
