Job Description & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Manufacturing Business Analyst (Business/ERP System Analyst), preferably based in Falconer, NY. This position reports to the Aerospace BU Supply Chain Director located off site. This role’s responsibilities include decision support for supply chain, manufacturing, customer service, and developing insight into each of our businesses operations that translate into how business intelligence driven decisions are impacting the company. This individual will participate in or lead many ad-hoc projects, analyze business activities, enhancing our planning capabilities (ERP), and assist in the training and user support of not only the XA MAPICS system, TLAshford & other systems that support the plant operations. Progressively, Kaydon acquired units will join the group of units equipped with same ERP as the above units (XA MAPICS), hence the coverage scope may be extended to those units.
The incumbent will provide analytical and reporting support to all functions: Sales, Manufacturing, R&D but also support functions such as Finance, Purchasing, HR. The Business Analyst will be expected to Review professional publications, establish personal networks, and participate in professional societies.
- The chosen candidate is required flexibility to travel (up to 20% in average) to visit stakeholders, clarify requirements, and better understand business processes in use.
- Candidates must be a US citizen or a US Permanent Resident preferably located within commuting distance of Falconer, NY.
- Also, the candidate must be able to obtain in minimal time the necessary credentials to comply with all federal export control requirements.
Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
- Understand and perform work in a safe and helpful manner.
- Remote collaborative work is encouraged and promoted.
- Visit stakeholders to clarify requirements and better understand business processes in use.
- Manage, correct, and enhance operational understanding and utilization of the ERP system.
- Monitor data integrity and drive processes to maintain data quality.
- Guide the development and improvement of operational business intelligence (BI) and Art3mis MES, industry 4.0 future factory implementation.
- Drive reporting alignment between finance, supply chain, and factory operations.
- Track variances and performs root cause analysis, implementing corrections & countermeasures to improve standards.
- Assist in developing ERP standards to assist manufacturing and supply chain.
- Minimize process and quality variations (standard work) while capturing critical knowledge & data for future use.
- Maintain product and company reputation by understanding and complying with government regulations and company policies.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
- Perform Training to system users.
- Provide Timing report on activities progress and deliver requested reports to hierarchical or functional project management.
Requirements

- Must be a US citizen or a US Permanent Resident.
- Must be able to obtain in minimal time the necessary credentials to comply with all federal export control requirements.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or related field is required, Master’s degree preferred.
- Preferred experience with Aerospace business requirements and manufacturing processes.
- 3+ years’ experience with XA MAPICS ERP system, preferably end to end.
- 3+ years’ experience with Data models and Querywork (SQL, Cognos, Access, Qlikview…) and associated Data extraction techniques (ODBC, etc.).
- 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environment.
- 2+ years’ experience in an analytical role.
- Competent with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Access etc.)
- Comprehensive communication skills in the English language electronically, verbally, and written.
- Travelling required as this is multi-site job.
- Flexibility to travel (up to 20% in average) is required (to visit stakeholders, clarify requirements, and better understand business processes in use).
- A valid and clear drivers license may be required for travel purposes.
