Job Description & Responsibilities
The IT Business Analyst serves as a liaison between business users and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as an understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities. Analyzes business unit’s operations to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Works independently and recommends solutions that help solve business problems with IT solutions. Participates in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology. Translates high level business requirements into techno-functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications. Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge.
Support the technical and business dynamics of the software solution in place. Possesses expertise in the DSD/Distribution business, process improvement methodologies, and overall ITIL capabilities. SAP ERP / S4 experience and Supply chain experience is a plus. Understand and actively engage in topics such as procurement, goods receipt processes, returns and damages tracking, and inventory management and tracking across multiple hierarchies and locations.

EVOLVE IT PROCESSES AND SOLUTIONS
- Analyze and model the business domain to create a complete picture of work-flows and technical requirements fulfilled by existing and proposed software.
- Define the business problem and primary objectives of new projects. Identify and validate the key business requirements.
- Lead business process re-engineering teams and continuous improvement efforts.
- Create techno-functional requirements in use cases.
- Coordinate requirements walk-throughs and sign-offs, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific needs.
- Define the scope and goals of projects and establish communication channels.
- Define project requirements and communications to ensure that the final deliverables of the technical team meet the expectations of the end users.
- Solution assessment and validation is one of the main roles of a business analyst as it is ensured that there are no gaps in the requirement process to the development stages.
- Facilitate interactions between the developers and module leads to ensure that needs and expectations of user are communicated to technical staff.
- Perform systems testing phase to ensure compliance with business users’ requirements.
- Facilitate interactions between RBDC and the solution vendor to ensure that the needs and expectations of the user are communicated.
- Ensure data transfers from core systems are reliable and accurate.
- Understand overall system architecture to recommend data integration with other systems.
- Engagement and an understanding of the technical conversations as part of the project team.
- Provide support to the business from a tool and process expertise standpoint.
- Team collaboration to manage new requests for data or features.
Requirements
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field.
- 5 + years of relevant experience.
- Understanding and knowledge of architecture, application systems design and integration.
- Ability to interact and communicate with senior leadership.
- Successful execution of project methodology for IT projects.
- Provide expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business.
- Understand and consistently apply the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies.
- Viewed both internally and externally as a subject matter expert across multiple disciplines.
- Manage critical communication pathways between IT, RBDC, and solution vendors.
- Strongly versed with project management methodology to drive efforts to conclusion.
What we offer
The base salary range for this position is $99,750 to $110250 + cash incentives Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
