Job Description & Responsibilities
Based in Cleveland, OH, this position for Analyst II will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and interpreting diverse streams of data across several of our franchise brands to help inform critical Operations, HR, and Marketing decisions. Reporting to our Manager of BI/Reporting, this will be a key role with visibility across the organization and direct access to senior leadership across the brands.
Essential Responsibilities Include:
- Build dashboards in Power BI to help key stakeholders visualize trends and understand impacts to the business
- Conduct root cause analysis to understand cause and effect and support critical business decisions on path forward with Brand Presidents, Senior operators, and Department Heads
- Summarize and synthesize core findings and provide recommendations based on data analysis
- Evaluate effectiveness of marketing campaigns / promotions through return on investment and pre-post net of control assessments, partnering closely with our data science and marketing teams
- Help drive value creation opportunities by serving as an objective thought partner to key stakeholders
Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience:
- History of academic and professional success in analytics and problem solving, with 1-5 years’ experience (previous restaurant experience a plus, but not required)
- Strong analytical skills; attention to detail; ability to multi-task and function at a high level under tight deadlines; understanding of statistics preferred
- Strong communicator with ability to collaborate across multiple facets of the business
- Strong Excel skills; Power BI, Tableau, or comparable visualization software experience strongly preferred; SQL coding, Python, and/or R experience preferred
- Curious mind – naturally asks the “so what?” questions and takes the extra steps to uncover insights from the analysis
- Proven ability to get up to speed quickly on new industries, businesses, and concepts
- Above all else, a self-starter with a positive, team-oriented attitude and sense of humor
