Job Description & Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY: The Innovation Business Analyst provides analytical and other diligence efforts in the evaluation of commercialization opportunities. Works with the Innovation Integration team to research and analyze commercialization and licensing opportunities in healthcare. The Analyst prepares detailed analysis of financial and operational strategies of internal opportunities seeking to commercialization inventions and ideas. Coordinates, seeks, and analyzes internal feedback from clinical, operational and business subject matter experts as part of the diligence process.
The Analyst participates in Transformational Innovation & Commercialization team discussion, analysis and decision making, while also engaging with the broader OSF HealthCare ecosystem. Prepares commercialization and licensing recommendation summaries and presentations to executives within OSF HealthCare.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelors
Experience: 2 years of relevant consulting, finance, accounting, audit, venture capital, private equity or investment banking or related entrepreneurial experience (starting a company or being a part of a high growth company early in its lifecycle less than 10 employees).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field Experience: 2 years of healthcare technology related experience
Other requirements/information: Strong written and verbal communication skills, an attention to detail, an aptitude for logical thinking, a commitment to professional ethics, and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in analytical skills, spreadsheet development, research and report writing required to address operational, regulatory and commercialization challenges of start-up companies, to gather and interpret financial, regulatory and clinical data, and to prepare clear, concise management reports. Basic knowledge of intellectual property (IP), FDA guidelines, and regulatory landscape for assessing healthcare startups.
What we offer
Salary range for this position is $73,486-$86,465; Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
