Job Description & Responsibilities
As an HR Business Analyst, you will report to the Senior Manager of HR Information Systems and Process Management. You'll work closely with the Workday Application Services team and other HR teams. You will play a key role as a servant leader in an Agile environment focused on a specific area of HR. You will support a fast-paced operation that is focused on maturing HR infrastructure and service delivery to continuously improve the employee experience at Blue Origin.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
HR Business Analysis:
- Connect business needs and technology solutions by analyzing incoming HR system and process change requests to understand the alignment to strategy, cost, and benefits of the requests, define potential solutions, and document cross-functional impacts and risks
- Gather and document requirements: Partner with HR Solution Centers and other stakeholders to understand priorities and business needs and use standard methods and documents to translate them into functional requirements and/or user stories
- Work closely with the HRIS team, Solution Centers, and others to recommend and implement best practices and new functionalities to meet business requirements
- Support HR Solution Center teams to review and advise on issues related to HR systems and workflows
- Assists in the development and modification of HR policies, process maps, and other documentation
- Participates in HR system testing as needed
- Assists with Reporting and Analytics activities
Agile Team Member / Scrum Master
- Serve in a Servant Leadership role with a keen focus on achieving sprint objectives and committed work
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies for one agile team. Hold effective planning workshops, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Understand team barriers and remove obstacles to enable progress
- Coach and guide the team on Agile principles and methodology
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams for alignment
- Raise help-needed requests quickly and proactively
- Foster a culture of trust, respect, and accountability
- Continuously improve processes and suggest enhancements
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of HR experience, including 1+ years of HR systems experience (Workday, ServiceNow, or other)
- Experience analyzing business requests for process or system changes
- Experience with HR technology projects or operations to include diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience using Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban
- Experience with Microsoft tools and applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people
- High degree of confidentiality and sensitivity to compliance-related matters
- Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach.
- Knowledge of business process design/redesign practices
Desired
- Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Analysis, or related business area
- Expertise in Workday or ServiceNow
- Expertise in Excel and Visio
- Experience as a Scrum Master on an Agile Team
What we offer
Compensation range for on site WA applicants is
$85,770—$120,078 USD
Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
