Job Description & Responsibilities
As a School Bus Financial Business Analyst, you play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy within the dynamic school bus transportation sector. Your responsibilities include reconciling school bus clearing accounts, managing chargebacks, overseeing accounts receivable reconciliations tailored to school bus operations, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific revenue recognition standards. Additionally, you'll generate monthly financial reports, post journal entries, assist in audits, and provide administrative backup within the school bus department. Your contributions to special projects further advance organizational goals within the school bus transportation domain.
Job Duties
- Maintain the accuracy of vehicle clearing and general ledger accounts.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies found in vehicle chargebacks.
- Supervise vehicle accounts receivable reconciliations and collections procedures.
- Coordinate the processing of vehicle invoicing and sales documentation.
- Manage vehicle revenue recognition processing in accordance with established standards.
- Compile and generate monthly financial reports while recording journal entries.
- Support audit procedures and offer administrative assistance as needed.
- Undertake special projects aimed at advancing organizational objectives.
Requirements
Job Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of recent GL Accounting experience, preferably in a vehicle dealer environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and enterprise accounting systems.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially in school bus financial operations.
- Capable of working independently, taking initiative to complete tasks within the school bus department.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at fostering positive relationships with stakeholders in the school bus transportation sector.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines specific to school bus operations.
- Committed to upholding confidentiality and integrity in financial matters, particularly within the school bus environment.
- Collaborative team player with a mindset of supporting colleagues within the school bus department.
- Adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements in accounting practices, with familiarity of school bus industry regulations preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to pass post offer drug test .

Compensation:
- $73,000-$75,000 depending on experience and qualifications
- Full time position.
