Job Description & Responsibilities
The IT Department is seeking a motivated Business Analyst who will be based out of the O’Fallon, MO office. This position will serve as Business Analyst/Quality Assurance for an Agile software development team. The workload will be a mix of new development projects and maintenance requests for custom applications, reports, and ERP system.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform Business Analyst and Quality Assurance duties for assigned Agile teams as well as performing Scrum Master duties on an as needed basis.
- Create and groom stories with the business and agile team members.
- Participate in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Demo, Daily Stand Up and Retrospective.
- Consult with business users to determine functional specifications for projects, services, and break/fix requests.
- Document procedures and workflows based on functional specifications.
- Analyze specifications and provide requirements documentation to development teams.
- Create system testing plans based on design specifications; execute test plans to identify issues during test runs.
- Partner with application mangers and developers to ensure projects meet end user requirements and are completed successfully.
- Compile and present updates for projects and key initiatives, such as milestones and percent complete.
- Provide end user documentation, training, implementation coordination, and post implementation support as needed.
- Where applicable, create prototypes of interfaces and attributes based on user requirements.
- Actively manage project and service requests in Service Desk Ticketing System.
- Keep up to date on new technologies.
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and serve as the conduit between internal customers and IT.
- Perform general application admin requests as needed.
- Mentor co-ops.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology or a related field or equivalent work experience, required.
- Eight or more years of related experience or training required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working with vendors, business partners and IT technical teams is preferred.
- Experience with documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with documentation using Visio preferred.
- Microsoft SQL, BI and SSRS knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with manufacturing and ERP systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies preferred.
- Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct research into issues as needed.
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.

$90,000/yr - $125,000/yr
