Job Description & Responsibilities
At Regions, the Business Analyst serves as an intermediary between the team and the assigned line of business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supports more senior positions with advocacy for the business clients in all phases of the solution development lifecycle for each of the critical stages, including initiation, analysis, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation follow up
- Performs basic to intermediate analysis and works closely with the business clients to identify core business issues to map out possible solutions
- Develops a business case for action, defining the need, the method, and the benefits of proposed solutions
- Performs basic analysis to contribute to the development of the detailed requirements of the solution and to satisfy the business need
- Works closely with the development team to refine the solution design, methods, and outcomes
- Monitors progress to ensure that the emerging solution meets the demands of the requirement document
- Supports more senior Business Analysts in the resolution of any conflicts arising due to any technical deviations from the agreed requirements
- Works closely with the testing team to ensure that issues are identified and fully resolved prior to roll out
- Monitors and reports on how users are working with the solution during the implementation phase and recommends that modifications be made, where necessary
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or related field

- Ability to learn additional systems as needed

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Working project management skills
Additional Skills And Competencies
- 2-4 years of professional experience in a data science, analytics, or stats role OR exemplary scholastic candidates from the same educational backgrounds
- Extensive experience with SQL, Python, SAS, or other scripting languages. GitHub experience is also a plus
- PowerBI/Tableau experience
- Candidate must be comfortable with ETL as analysts are required to pull unstructured data from multiple sources and clean for both operational and analytical purposes
- Solid background in math/statistics/finance and familiarity with predictive analytics, machine learning algorithms, and champion/challenger testing
- Strong curiosity to learn about data with practical applications for operational solutions and insights
- Potential for exploratory analysis and unstructured research as opposed to all task-driven assignments
- Enthusiastic to learn about the department and how we fit in the organization
- Ability to collaborate and influence across different teams in the organization, including our own team and department
- A future top performer who is curious and always engaged

Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
