Business Analyst - Job Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Analyst to join our Data Management and Analytics team at Customers Bank. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven insights, analyzing business processes, and providing valuable recommendations to enhance our organization's performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team to gather, analyze and document business requirements related to data, reporting, and analytics initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics that help generate revenue, streamline operations, or reduce risks.
  • Translate business requirements into technical overviews that can be executed against by engineering, report and data sciences team members.
  • Perform data discovery and analysis to identify datasets, and/or gaps in dataset, that can be used to solve/meet business requirements.
  • Proactively identify and propose solutions to challenging data problems.
  • Consider potential data issues before they become problems and propose solutions.
  • Facilitate the delivery of on time data initiatives that meet business requirements.
  • Identify and assess potential data quality issues and work with Data Governance team to implement appropriate controls.
  • Conduct thorough data investigations/report defects, identify root causes of issues, and propose/implement effective solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of data analysis and reporting.
Business Analyst - Job requirements

What do you need?

  • 2 to 3 years of proven experience as a Business or Data Analyst, preferably in the banking or financial industry.
  • Project Management training and/or Six-Sigma certification.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify and resolve business challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in data visualization using MicroStrategy, PowerBI, or other BI reporting tools.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.

Technology Skills

  • Microsoft Office applications

Must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

What we offer at Customers Bank

Work location: Hybrid in the Malvern, PA location coming into the office at least 3 days per week with Monday, Tuesday and Thursday being set days. There is an option for remote on the East Coast.

The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 - $105,000. (this is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary will consider experience, accomplishments, and location.
