Job Description & Responsibilities
The primary function of the Business Analyst, Argon Product Line, is to support the oversight of the Airgas Argon Product Line i) P&L; ii) strategy (addressing growth, profitability, product sourcing, and supply chain), and iii) strategy execution. This role will be involved in examining, understanding and implementing solutions to help drive the success of the argon product line, supply chain and argon product line business drivers. The Business Analyst, Argon Product Line will develop and implement various comprehensive reports and visuals used to analyze all of the key metrics that drive the argon business. You will utilize these tools, power BI Dashboards, and other data sources to analyze, monitor, track, and trend the financial and operational performance of the business and strategy.
- Provide analyses to support strategic thinking and operational/financial decision making
- Visualize financial, operational & commercial KPI’s specific to Product Management
- Support cross functional project collaboration involving Supply Chain and FP&A teams for solution development and sharing best practices
- Help support business reviews that track and evaluate the LAR P&L
- Report and analyze financial and operating metrics, such as total landed cost, gross margin, asset utilization, inventories, etc.
- Perform financial modeling in support of the Business
- Creation and distribution of monthly metrics and reporting packets
- Compile data needed to support internal and external reporting requirements
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, CompSci, or Finance
- 3-5 years of experience with data analytics and finance (cost margins, forecasting, growth rates, volumes etc.)
- 3-5 years of PowerBi/Tableau experience
- Advanced spreadsheet user - must be able to create pivot tables and formulas within Microsoft Excel and Google sheets.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA a plus
- Industrial Gas experience a plus
