Business Analyst, EDI - Job Role & Responsibilities

Who are you?

The EDI Business Analyst will monitor the electronic flow of data and manage files that are processed by our systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the overall departmental workflow to effectively collaborate with other teams and departments, and clearly communicate needs and expectations.

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:

  • Maintain an understanding of the workflows between operational departments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, validate, and clarify business requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of needs and expectations so that changes or new clients are implemented seamlessly
  • Communicate status of ongoing tasks on a regular basis to end users and the Manager of Technical Operations
  • Analyze the mapping of insurance claims, import/export files, and eligibility files for troubleshooting any operational inquiry
  • Identify technical issues that may arise from improper enrollment or enrollment changes on electronic data interchange (EDI) files and coordinate with engineering partners to resolve issues
  • Coordinates ongoing EDI testing, implementations, and upgrades
  • Ensure that business requirements are translated into actionable solutions that align with organizational goals, leveraging expertise to bridge the gap between needs and implementable solutions
  • Other Duties as assigned the Manager of Technical Operations or Senior Technical Operations Specialist

What you bring to the Personify Health team:

In Order To Represent The Best Of What We Have To Offer You Come To Us With a Multitude Of Positive Attributes Including

  • 2+ years of experience with system analysis, data analysis, and/or process improvement
  • 1+ years of experience in the Healthcare Industry
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of the Healthcare & TPA Industry preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Experience in using various data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or other relevant software
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully analyzing data, gathering requirements, and providing valuable insights and solutions to support business decision-making.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, facilitate discussions, and negotiate requirements among various teams
  • Knowledge/Experience with ANSI 5010 transactions like 837, 835, 834, 270/271 preferred
