Job Description & Responsibilities
Maximus is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Technology Consulting Services (TCS) team in support of our federal consulting services for the Department of Homeland Security market. You will be working closely with an experienced team of professionals in support of business development, opportunity documentation, and requirement analysis. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and a desire to learn and grow in both comfortable and uncomfortable environments. What You Will Do
- Support Business Development Opportunities: Work closely with executives and support developmental efforts, supporting business development, capture, and other market opportunities.
- Process Institutionalization: Follow and pilot standardized processes and best practices, ensuring competitive edge and compliance.
- Teamwork: Be an able participant in some teams, and leading others. Structure is dynamic and curated for every customer and opportunity. Be able to work with a wide variety of different members and SMEs.
- Technical ability: Understand the basics of technology consulting; able to translate technical jargon to business and vice versa. Drive to learn and close gaps in knowledge.
- Documentation and Presentation: Document findings, requirements, and business opportunities. Create presentations and tell a story. We document to learn and grow, not just to say we did it.
- Proposal Writing: Participate in and even lead proposal writing teams to write high-scoring proposals that tackles the problem statements for our customers.
- Inspire Excellence: Foster an environment that motivates and develops a diverse team, empowering them to excel in every phase of the capture process.
Requirements
Required
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must possess U.S. Citizenship.
- 2+ years of experience working in a federal consulting setting is preferred, but not required.
- This position will require some travel. In office requirement 10-20%. Access to the DMV area is required.
Desired
- Knowledge of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) market is highly valued.
- Experience with the Shipley proposal process.
- Ability to follow guidance but also work independently.

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
